REV RON CROSS | VICAR

Hi, I’m married to Ro and we have two children, Bella and Woody.  We met at college in West London and have been friends ever since.   We’ve lived in various parts of the UK but are delighted to be back around London.  I became Vicar of St Saviour’s in 2015 and I’m excited about all that God is going to do with the community here.

REV CLAIRE CLARKE | CURATE

I love the church & have been in ministry for 21 years seeking to encourage people to encounter Jesus afresh, grow in their relationship with Him & be equipped followers of God. I am married to Carlos & we have two children Amy & JJ.

RACHEL WAITS | OFFICE MANAGER & PA to REV RON CROSS

Most of my previous jobs have involved some form of administration for Christian Organisations or Churches, so in us starting to attend St Saviour’s as our local church and praying about which area of this church I could best serve it shouldn’t have come as a surprise to be needed in the office but it was … and it is great!

Out of the office I enjoy music, cooking and baking and spending time with friends and family. My husband Olie and I have a delightful son Joseph, a semi-tamed garden and three chickens. I am also a Communication Support Worker (British Sign Language) for Deaf adults in Further and Higher education and I love signing at Christian Conferences.

ABI BATES | KIDS PASTOR

I started volunteering with children and young people when I was 14 and as I grew up I learnt that it was something I loved and God was calling me into. As a result of this I studied for a degree in Children and Family work with Theology. I have a real passion that the children that I am privileged to work alongside will have God hearts and not just be God smart. I’d love for the time children spend in church to be some of the best hours of their week and some of their fondest memories as they grow up.

JOSIAH JEWELL | YOUTH PASTOR

I’m Josiah, and I’m from the rugged land of Canada, home of bears and maple syrup. I have an amazing wife called Laura who is also involved in the youth ministry here at St. Saviour’s. I love coffee, hiking, music, film, good food, and travelling to new places and seeing different cultures around the world. I am so excited to have the amazing privilege of working with our youth; one of the most rewarding things for me is to see the transformation in the lives of young people as they encounter God personally.

BETH DOBBS | YOUTH APPRENTICE

I’ve been at St Saviour’s since I was about 12. Growing up as part of the youth group was the best years of my life, I made such a home here with everyone, which has inspired me to work at the church with the youth today. It’s a massive passion of mine to use Dance & Drama to reach out to young people about God. I have just finished doing 2 gap years; 1 with Riverside Performing Arts, & 1 with Youth For Christ, being on their touring dance team. Both experiences have prepared me for what I’m doing now: using the things I’ve learnt to reach out to the youth around Sunbury. During my time here, I’m studying a 3 year youth apprenticeship through the London Diocese & I’m very excited to see the amazing things God’s going to do.

STEPHEN GEORGE | WORSHIP & MEDIA PASTOR

God called me to Sunbury back at the end of 2014, & I’ve loved every day of it. I have always been a musician/artist & creative worship has always been where I have felt most alive & called. I love seeing people come to know Jesus & experience the presence of the Holy Spirit…I can’t help but be moved watching other people passionately adore & engage with their Heavenly Father.

CLAIRE HOPKINS | SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION PASTOR

I am a wife & a mum, & I’ve been part of the St Savour’s family since 2008. Hunger & food insecurity is a significant problem facing our local community. With a personal desire to demonstrate God’s love by providing practical love & help to those in need, I’m striving every day to continually grow, connect & collaborate with clients, donors, experts, partners & leaders to strategically share & bless, with a passionate commitment to our local community. Seeing the impact of working in & with our local community encourages me to find solutions to local needs & give practical & innovative love & support. My hope is to bridge the gap between prosperity & poverty in our community.
